The humidity streak here in Northeast Ohio has finally broken and the beloved fall chill is making its first appearance of the season. Earlier this morning I took a jog around town and I was thrilled to see small splash of color in the trees. It’s an understatement to say I was jumping for joy; I absolutely love autumn. Everything about it; from my own soccer games, hoodies, bonfires, Halloween, to getting dolled up for Friday night football games.
This four-day weekend has been great, with Labor Day yesterday and a day off today for whatever reason. The start of the school year came barreling down on us juniors a few weeks ago and we were totally stoked to find out that we had a four day weekend and only three days of school. Not to mention that under the lights this Friday night our football boys will be battling against our local rival, which without a doubt we will defeat.
I’ve just been using the day to relax until my game later tonight at seven. It’s our third conference game of the year, and so far we are undefeated. We have this is the bag. So, as I was taking it easy sipping on my chai latte with Dan Brown’s new book Inferno in hand, I came across a great idea. I decided that I wanted to share my ideas with more than just those who know me first-hand, and therefore I gave life to this blog.
With this blog I hope to shed some light onto the crazy life that I call my own, from athletics to school, to crafts and art, family, friends, frisky critters and everything in-between.
So I hope that I can inspire readers to follow their own path and start their own story by peeking in the window of a crazy Midwest girl with a passion for family, friends, sports, and all that life has to offer.
Cheers, Midwest Meriel
